Canada’s DFAIT Web site has an overview of the NAFTA agreement as well as the full text of the agreement. The site also has links to information on tariffs, rules, side agreements, dispute settlement, guidelines to doing business in the NAFTA region, and some of the success stories related to the agreement.

Industry Canada’s Strategis.gc.ca Web site has an extensive summary of the major points in the Agreement on Internal Trade which was signed by the provincial First Ministers in 1994. The site also has links to some research documents related to the agreement, a brief bibliography. and links to other related Web sites.

The World Trade Organization (WTO) is an international global institution that deals with the rules of trade among nations. The WTO states that all of its decisions “are made by member governments” and that its rules “are the outcome of negotiations among members.”

The World Bank Group Web site includes pages that contain detailed information on countries and regions, current data and statistics, various documents and reports, educational opportunities, and research and other publications.

The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Web site presents discussions on a wide range of topics related to economic, social, and governance challenges of globalization. Some of the many themes discussed are agriculture, food and fisheries; biotechnology; competition; corruption; emerging and transition economies; and energy.
