The Government of Canada's Competition Bureau offers a report on environmental standards called “Principles and Guidelines for Environmental Labelling and Advertising.” The report was written in response to Canadian consumers’ concerns about the environmental effects of materials that are used in products and services.

Canada's Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT) is a federal department dedicated to promoting Canadian security, prosperity, and values in countries around the world. DFAIT's online country profile on Kenya gives Canadian business people current travel, geographic, cultural, political, economic, and trade information as well as development indicators and a discussion of current transnational issues.

: The Canadian Standards Association (CSA) is a not-for-profit association that has been set up to serve business, industry, government and consumers in Canada and in other countries. CSA’s 9000 members work to develop standards designed to address business and consumers’ needs, to educate people about those standards, to safeguard public safety and health, to help preserve the environment, and to facilitate trade.

The Standards Council of Canada (SCC) is a Canadian government agency that promotes efficient, effective, and universal standardization in Canada. The SCC doesn't develop the standards or verify the conformity of products or services to standards; but the agency does accredit the organizations that develop and verify those standards. The SCC also approves National Standards of Canada, represents Canada in international standards forums, and serves as Canada’s major source for standards information.

The Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB) is a part of the Canadian federal government (Public Works and Government Services Canada). CGSB provides a wide range of standardization and conformity assessment services related to government requirements. The Board also publishes manuals and guides in both French and English for the Canadian government and the public.

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is a non-profit, technical professional association that has more than 377,000 members in 150 countries.IEEE is an authority for technical areas such as computer engineering, biomedical technology, telecommunications, and consumer electronics. The Institute publishes papers, holds annual conferences, and develops standards for its related industries. The Canadian Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineers (IEEE) is part of the international IEEE.
